Centenary Grenache. Delicacy. Depth. Freshness.

FEATURES:

  • GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Grenache planted since 1.903. Centenary Grenache.
  • ALCOHOLIC CONTENT: 15% vol.
  • SOILS & VINES: Vineyards are situated at a height of 350/500 meters above sea level on hillsides of pronounced slopes, with the characteristic slate soil called "llicorella". The grapes come from vines planted in 1.903 just after the philloxera. Very low yiels: 300 gr per vine.
  • VINTAGE AND CLIMATE: Vintage is marked by average and maximum temperatures above values of the last 10 years, as well as very low rainfall regime. However is in these conditions when our vineyards and grapes have shown their incredible capacity not only to survive but also to give a small quantity with very high quality.
  • AGEING: The elaboration process followed temperature-controlled fermentation with a total maceration period of about 4/5 weeks what allowed a progressive and excellent extraction. The ageing was of 16 months in new French oak.
