Aromatic, fresh and long. The first white of Mas Doix.


  • GRAPE VARIETIES: 95% 20-year-old white grenache and 5% macabeo.
  • SOILS & VINES: Vineyards are situated at a height of 500-600 meters above sea level on hillsides of pronounced slopes, with the characteristic slate soil called "licorella". The grapes come from vines between 20-25 years old, with a small but exceptional average production of 500 gr. per vine.
  • VINTAGE AND CLIMATE: With a snowfall in February, 2018 has been a year with abundant rainfall in spring and autumn, with records well above average. Very high temperatures peaks during the day in July and August. A warm September, refreshed again by the rain to obtain healthy, tasty and very balanced grapes.
  • AGEING: Fermented in stainless steel with aging on lees for 3 months.

The first white from Mas Doix, the 2018 Murmuri is a blend ofGarnacha Blanca from 20- to 25-year-old vines with some 3%Macabeo and perhaps 2% other white varieties that fermentedin stainless steel and matured with the lees for three months.It’ produced in a clean and fresh way, completely unoaked topreserve the white fruit and fennel aromas. It has a light andvibrant palate with superb acidity and minerality. It should developnicely in bottle. A very good debut. 2,700 bottles produced.
