Murmuri /2019

Aromatic, fresh and long. The first white of Mas Doix.


  • GRAPE VARIETIES: 95% 20-year-old white grenache, 3% macabeo and 2% other varieties.
  • ALCOHOLIC CONTENT: 13,5% vol.
  • SOILS & VINES: Vineyards are situated at a height of 500-600 meters above sea level on hillsides of pronounced slopes, with the characteristic slate soil called "licorella". The grapes come from vines between 20-25 years old, with a small but exceptional average production of 500 gr. per vine.
  • VINTAGE AND CLIMATE: 2019 vintage will be remembered for the heat wave at the end of June, with temperatures of up to 43ºC which mainly affected the carignane.
    A hot summer, but with rain that cooled the vines and grapes. Late August arrived with grapes in optimum conditions: healthy, concentrated and very well balanced. Great quality with slightly lower yields.
  • AGEING: Fermented in stainless steel with aging on lees for 3 months.
