The Wine Advocate #244 - Aug. 2019 – 93pts

I tasted two vintages of the Salanques, and the 2017 Salanques feels riper and darker than the 2016, with notes of graphite and earth. It was one of the earliest harvests ever, but the old vines (this comes from plants averaging no less than 70 years of age) still managed to deliver a balanced crop. It's powerful but has very fine tannins, a velvety texture and a very pleasant mouthfeel.

18,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2019.
