Elegance and complexity. A strong, unique personality.
Great year. Temperatures that were lower than normal and a rainy spring. Dry and hot summer and autumn. The harvest was carried out two weeks later than usual, with very good balance between sugar, acidity and phenolic ripeness. Harvesting by hand into 10 kg crates. Grape by grape classification using a double selection table.
Moderate winter with a single snowfall in February. Spring with barely any rain and high average temperatures. The 60 liters per square meter that fell in June allowed us to face a July with a heat wave and more temperate and dry August and September. Harvest from the 15 Sepetmber through 25 October. Without any rush, but without any breaks either. A relaxed harvest.
A vintage marked by average and maximum temperatures above the values of the last ten years, along with a low level of rain. All the same, it is under these conditions that our vineyards and our grape showed us their incredible capacity, not only to survive, but also to give us a small quantity of the very highest quality. One of the earliest and shortest spring harvests that we can remember.
